====================================== Why apologize? Meaningless as compared to what? Michael Smith's Bolshevism de salon? I"d be surprised if Chomsky, Fletcher, and others who signed have any more illusions in Obama than you do. So why turn around and disavow your own and their efforts to try to pressure him from the left using whatever modest means, including petitions, are available to enlist public support? Better for US leftists to just carp about him to each other in cyberspace if he's elected? I'd be interested to learn what "better things" MS did with his 30 seconds regarding the war threats against Iran.
