Man, that's like a Republican talking point. The issue isn't whether they're real workers or not but the conditions under which they work and are organized. A lot of the workers are family members who are compensated by public funds, right? And the way they're all organized is that a governor and/or legislature recognizes the union, after the union has funded and campaigned for the winning candidates. How the workers fare over the long term is uncertain. But in any case, this has nothing to do with organizing the retail sector, which is a much bigger and more important nut to crack.
