[lbo-talk] computer jerks

Just any barebones PC may not work. Ubuntu is extremely cranky when it comes to video, drivers, and especially wireless chip sets. For example, the commonly used Broadcom chip set for wireless will not work with Ubuntu.

There is supposed to be some propeller head geek way of downloading a tweaked driver then changing stuff at the command line level to fix this, but if you read the Ubuntu forums, most people still can't get it to work.

A preloaded Ubuntu computer will have all the correct chips and will be tested and optimized.
