Ever read the People's Weekly World? As election time approaches, there's always a surreal rehabilitation of Democrats. Except that it's usually phrased as "defeat the right!," which is a bit more clear-eyed than inventing some solidarity between Bill Richardson and
Hugo Chavez.

^^^^^ CB: Here's the surreal report of the contact between them ( but not frm the People's Weekly World). And it's right in the middle of a closely contested Presidential campaign in which Richardson is a prominent supporter of one candidate. Not exactly opportunistic.
