Actually, Antonio Villaraigosa is pretty close. I believe he has a history of involvement (employment?) with labor and certainly as Mayor of Los Angeles, and before that state legislator, had VERY close ties with the local unions. [Also may be the front runner for the Dem nomination for California Governorship since rival SF Mayor Gavin Newsom may be damaged goods as a result of his role in the Prop 8 defeat], SR
