I detect a hint of sarcasm, perhaps I have breached some taboo about mentioning the elephant in the room?

The way everyone is talking, I thought the only issue was an over-emphasis by bush on pardoning people who wanted to own guns. It didn't seem to occur to anyone that the fact that they needed a pardon to regain their civil rights was a problem.

But obviously this was a mistake. Everyone thinks the same way. I'm glad to read that between the lines of sarcasm. Forgive me for breaching protocol by saying it out loud, I am a bit socially inept like that.
