I never made an argument, but if I had it would have been that it was a bad joke to discuss it on this list as if anyone's opinion here made the slightest difference. A classic example of sandbox politics.
Of course the bailout was going to come. Of course leftists if they were talking to the general public should have opposed it on general principles, knowing that their opposition would not stop it but would make a good talking point one or three or 10 years from now.
