Dittoheads and fundies may be enough to get the Republican nomination, esp if they are all behind a single candidate.
To me, the idea that she may be planning a run in 2012 best explains the incidences in which she has not toed the McCain line, such as when she indicated her disagreement with pulling out of Michigan and a later statement regretting the use of robocalls. SR

[WS:] She might have mobilized dittoheads and fundies, but her appeal beyond that is rather limited. So if her introduction to the McCain ticket did not bring much new support, why would that change if she run alone? She needs much more than a bunch of dittoheads and fundies to win, and the changing demographics is working against her.
