It's an embrace of the concept of momentary, knowable, objective "truth" over human interaction. It is the denying of the personhood of the presenter.

I think this forms a nice anti-treatise. It's a well-considered anti-analysis.

I also think you see it in journalism in this America.

The right has embraced a European, narrative model of journalism, while the Left is hamstrung by the American Columbia School of Journalism/NYT model which pretends objectivity through such means as false equivalency.
