as an aside, my son's been working as a pit boss (only wears lipstick on his collar, natch) recently, and in various capacities in casinos for a couple of years. he's seen a lot of comedy acts. he says that some of the popular comedians he's seen are downright mean and nasty people. they often get going on some person in the audience and start ripping on them to the point that some people get rip roaring angry or start crying.
