CB: Interesting. Of course, substantively Beck is sort of the opposite of the movie character. Howard Beale was fed up with the media monopoly corporation, the" system". Beck is a rightwinger " "fed up" on behalf of monopoly capitalism.

The actor who played Beale died in real life soon after the film.
