I somewhat disappointed in the lack of imagination on the part of most responders to my proposal for elimination of the prison system. It does bear out, however, the failure of most to grasp what social construction means in material actuality (or at least a failure to incorporate that understanding into their oridnary thinking). The comments in the thread were, consequently, quite banal. It sort of bothers me to be forceed to spell out the obvious, but I guess the intellectual and imaginative limitions of posters to this list make it necessary.

I have to admit, this made me throw the latest issue of "Verdant Vibrations: the Pr0n Mag for Vegetarians" across the room. (April's centerfold is a plate of fava beans.) I was ready to uncork a carbonated bottle of WTF on the, by turns Ozymandian and Droopy Dogish Coxian psyche.

I was stopped in my tracks however, when a GOOG search turned up this image of Carrol as a young man, which I hastily copied to the monroelab server before it was telekinetically removed from public cache:

Against such a being -- who's probably from the socialist, post tender beef future -- what hope do any of us have? Even those of us who're vegetarians, the closest thing to angels on this benighted Earth?

I wave a white flag of surrender and lay down my meagre arms.
