[lbo-talk] NY Times: In America, Labor Has an Unusually Long Fuse

_Cultures of Solidarity_, by Rick Fantasia, is a book I bought off the IWW some years back. It examines _exactly_ the labor culture of the USA versus Europe. Guess which side is more labor-friendly?

You know, in France, when there were 4 "boss-nappings" (a la Jean-Luc Godard's _Tout va Bien_ - a great pro-worker flick from the early 70s starring the dreaded Jane Fonda) the police did not intervene to help the bosses. That is pretty unimaginable in the USA, where the law is assumed to be on the side of bosses.
