I know I am in a Foucaltian (oops, make that Foucaldian, I think?)  
den ;-), but dare I suggest that indeed things have gotten better  
overall, even for the weak and poor? Chomsky (no Foucault, I admit)  
seems to think so as well, doesn't he?
