Clarkson clanged hard on my loathesome meter just from the links served up by the BBC site.

I found Downing Street's cooment absolutely hysterical:

Number 10 would only say that Clarkson "is entitled to his own interpretation of the economic circumstances".

If making fun of someone's medical issues weren't such a third rail behavior one would be tempted to some kind of quipe about twice as much idiocy output per eyeball or something like that, the Scots being so notoriously thrifty and all.

The whole thing made me go look up Brown's bio on Wikipedia.

Sports injuries are one leading cause of detached retinas

But the better bit is this one in connection with the 60th anniversary of teh Scottish NHS
