Speaking of which, I'm watching Dagon on youtube right now, which is the only film adaptation of a Lovecraft work that is even faintly loyal to the original (Shadow over Innsmouth).
It has all those ultraconservative Lovecraftian themes, fear of race mixing being the big one. :)
