On imperial murder, the Dems more than hold their own in competition with the Reps. But it's an empirical fact - ask Larry Bartels - that income gains are more broadly distributed under D admins than R. And I can tell you that employment grows more rapidly under Ds than Rs. There's no historical precedent for saying that an incoming D admin is going to intensify the attack on living standards.
