"Drum roll please. After months of heated speculation about what our brand new First Lady Michelle Obama would wear to the official swearing-in ceremony, the big news is in: Isabel Toledo.

Obama's choice of a sparkly gold-yellow lace ribbon-closed coat and dress ensemble with a bejeweled collar is significant on at least two counts. First, the color. Since the Elizabethan Era, shades of yellow have symbolized renewal and hope, a platform on which Obama based his campaign. Also, newly sworn in President Barack Obama has been vocal about his desire to improve relations with Cuba, and some wonder if the First Lady's choice of Toledo, who is Cuban-born, and Narciso Rodriguez, also of Cuban descent, for Sunday's "We Are One," concert -- has deeper meaning."

yepper.
