Biology not so much, necessarily. Methane is present on a number of local planets and moons. What would be more interesting is the presence of methane with free oxygen -- a highly unstable equilibrium that would require something to maintaining it. Finding both in the emitted spectrum of an extrasolar planet would be very exciting.
