That position may change, but for now, and for those who can affect it (u.s. residents), the President of the U.S. is it. The part of other capitalist powers in the ongoing massacre must be resolved by others. Our task is here. And of course "Leader of the Free World" is not the coinage of any left thinker! (Fre = free from serius interfverence with business, though sometimes minor failings can bring down a terrible wrath. It was not for any of crimes that saddam hussein died.

Even if some other capitalist power were to achieve hegemony, the leader of _our_ enemy would still be the U.S. President, whoever he might be.
