Well, despite his often rotten politics, Harrington did write some decent books, including what was probably his best book, *The Politics at God's Funeral*, which Mark Lindley and I discussed in our essay, "Six Prominent American Freethinkers," at: http://monthlyreview.org/mrzine/fl161208.html
Harrington being the sixth freethinker discussed in the essay.
