The issue is the motivating factor of beliefs held by large numbers of people, in this instance, the Nazi Party. ========================== There have been many right-wing parties since then which have derived their inspiration from the Nazis. Why hasn't their trajectory been the same as it was in Germany? Why haven't their militants, who can't be accused of lacking like motivation, been able to emulate the Depression-era Nazis - in that country or elsewhere? The same holds true for today's far left parties, which are also a whisper of their former selves.
If the issue is conviction rather than conditions, how would you explain this?
