The Metal Gear saga, for newcomers to the videogame culture, is one of the
most compelling, well-constructed, and progressive series ever created.
Here's a trailer of one of the next iterations, destined for Sony's
handheld PSP:

Brilliant as usual, with series mastermind Hideo Kojima's trademark wit
and political savvy. Kojima has one of the most refined senses of
geopolitical timing around -- MGS4 arrived months before neoliberalism's
meltdown. This game is set in Latin America in 1974, nicely bracketing the
zero-hour of neoliberalism.
