June 30, 2009 http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aEQC4uPS0ZiA June 30 (Bloomberg) -- Manuel Zelaya, forced from the Honduran presidency in a military coup two days ago, said he won’t seek to be re-elected or extend his term should he be restored to office. Zelaya said in a news conference at the United Nations today that his country is now under a “de facto military regime” and he would welcome a trial to defend himself.
