I'm not saying that they are. I'm talking about who holds more philosophical sway, such as it is. We could mention Lippmann, Garrison Villard, Trilling, maybe Paul Goodman, maybe Mary McCarthy, even MLK, but who among contemporary liberals draws upon these sources?
