Well, since it is SXSW week here in Austin, my show actually went 2 hours late, from 5 PM - 9 PM CST, last night, since the DJ slated to come on after was at a show. I am still getting my feet wet, so it is very rickety so far.
What I have learned is: Live radio is scarier than podcasting, which is how I started. Podcasting, if I screwed up a band's song title, etc., I would go back and re-record it. The way 95.9 FM have it set up in Austin, it is live on-air. So if I screw up, it is archived for all eternity. And I have screwed up. So I dunno how Doug does it.
Ugh. Also, requests can be made live, realtime, via the web, and folks did so last night, which I appreciate, even if I did not have all the music on hand they requested.
I played some left-anarchist black metal (Panopticon, check 'em out on MySpace) as well as lefty black metal by way of Canadian commie black metal band Iskra, also on MySpace. Not sure if they are anarchist or just Bolshevik black metal, heh.
