I hope you're right about the disillusionment. One thing you've got to 
admit, though, is that he's really good at his job. This Sotomayor thing 
is absolute genius. The Republicans are tying themselves into knots. 
They're about to have a very public internal debate over whether to

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the smarter right-wing business types 
(Wal-Mart, etc.) get wise and start funding some sort of Republican 
version of the DLC. Because the party could be in danger of total 
disaster for the next few election cycles - and that would spell bad 
news for that wing of capital. They wouldn't even need to promote an 
agenda that's actually "moderate," just a version of Republicanism 
that's not quite as in-your-face fuck-you.
