Hey all, This is Sheldon, and I have a new online identity, email and blog (link below).

So anyway, I was poking away on on the intertubes looking for an image of Eugene Debs for a blog post when I found a rather interesting and unusual blog:

Now I always knew there was a religious left, but I never thought I would find a web site/blog that is actually socialist and Mormon, and at the same time! I have known quite a few Mormons, and a few were a little more on the liberal side than most of them. And I have known even more Mormon exiles. But I never thought I would come across some practicing Mormon radicals. And I do like it when my unacknowledged stereotypes are debunked by reality. On one level much of it makes sense in that there was a utopian socialist element in early Mormonism, but I really thought that was all dead, buried and forgotten. The blog has multiple authors and is quite interesting, with references to radical Mormon grandmothers who are feminist and that read Capital with their grandchildren (no shit!). And the blogroll is also quite interesting, LDS Anarchy, The Radical Mormon, and others.

For a moment, I don't know why, I was surprised that there were quite a few posts critical of Isreal. But then on second thought, that makes perfect sense, as the Mormons believe they are the genuine nation of Isreal. Although I am not sure I have that exactly correct.

Its a wierd wild world out there!

So have a look-see if you're curious. Sheldon
