Thanks, Mike. About a third of the way in, I'm liking it a lot as well. Even though he doesn't use the term, he's talking about real subsumption without insisting on its being distinct (novel) historical era, a la Negri. I also like his treatment of absolute and relative surplus-value and that he pays such close attention to exchange. And, especially, that he has a noninstrumental view of the state. I'll check out the other authors you mentioned.
