All political arguments/proofs are (implicitly or explicitly) of the
form if...then. They are not aimed at anyone who does not take for
granted the empirical base of the if clause. The core from which a
working-class movement in the U.S., strong enough to shake let alone
overthrow the capitalist regime consists of those workers (all 'races'
and genders) who recognize that the political unity of the class depends
above all on the struggle against structural racism. Those who cannot
accept this if-then at a tiven time 'divide into two': those who will
come to accept it implicitly as they attach themselves to a growing
movement (the attraction of which is its growth, not its abstract
arguments, and those who will either remasin passive or will actively
side with the enemy.
