On the other hand, high-flying aircraft are a major contributor to potentially catastrophic climate change, a fact few green progressives seem willing to face. Strange how there's usually a bona fide threat at the heart of these "conspiracy theories"--perhaps the "kooks" who pedal them are actually still saner than the rest of us.
By the way: speaking generally, the government manifestly should not be trusted--conspiracy theories, IMO, are form of modern religion involving made-up stories to fill in gaps left by our ignorance; paranoid ones, reflecting our not entirely irrational fears. Obviously, a rational approach--i.e., investigating and exposing what the Feds are actually doing--is preferred but rather than ridiculed it would be wise to reflect on the origin of this phenomenon.
