W did not prove there was such a thing as the lesser of two evils. He
merely carried out with a different rhetoric domestic policy established
under Carter & Reagan and 'improved' under Clinton and foreign policy as
it was set under Truman & Eisenhower. He offended intellectual snobs --
that is all the difference.
