further, with regard to shag, have you ever noticed that shag's various readings of this or that book has distracted shag from the basic ideas which you valorize here? hmm? is shag running off on a crusade against prescription drugs?
no. shag is educating herself, just as shag always has. shag reads. a lot. shag can read 50 pages in an hour. my weird educational background. shag like to learn, and has a broad set of interests.
shag shares the more interesting stuff at lbo and her blog. not with any political intent per se, but just because it is interesting. shag likes it when people like michael pollak and chuck grimes and others do that at lbo - share. so shag likes to return the favor.
recently, shag got a post from someone who was thrilled to death with shag's posts about angela davis, another who was thrilled to discover shag's posts and criticisms of lesbian separatism. they wrote b/c queer dewd blog died and they don't have access to them any more for writing their term papers and stuff. that is why shag shares: because other people might find it interesting and profit from them on their own journeys of self education. not because shag wants to revolutionize people's lives. although, in the case of the fan of shag's lesbian separatism stuff, it apparently changed her life. *shrug* takes all kinds
otherwise, shag plugs away at her job and at her various social and political involvements whether shag is reading about the future of the interwebs a la chris andersen or colin thubron's shadow of the silk road or the angela davis reader.
you picked a really bad example if you want to use shag as an example of someone whose head's so easily turned by a writer that shag drops lefty principles in order to start throwing energies into voting for democrats and supporting progressive crusaders against corporationgs like nader and shit.
if you are concerned about others, then all i can say is: you are an exemplary concern troll.
chill out man.
