Though I don't believe anyone ever took me up on it (supportive or in oppsosition), I believe that I have a number of times on this list indicated my belief that change (of any kind) is on the whole negative. It can even damage the human immune system. Moreoever in all change therelurks the the potential, even probability, of unpredictable consequences; biological mutations may be considered a metaphor for this: the majority of mutations are destructive, with only a very small number positive. And after all, Marxists have been talking about the "anarchy of production" for quite a while.
It has always seemed to me that a core aim of the socialist revolution was to bring an end to rapid change or change for the sake of chage.
