[lbo-talk] Music news: Akon’s No Labels anthem

"Labels"? Huh?

This movement may appear to be in good faith, but it is totally lost in appearances (Hegelian, that is). All contingent appearances aside, there are creators of the social wealth of society, and there is that small minority that tries to appropriate this social wealth for itself. You can "label" either side however you wish, but the underlying logic still rules the system... there's always contingency and aberration; but a little added contingent "rationality" placed onto an irrational system will never solve anything in the long haul.

With movements circulating like this one, Marx is more relevant than ever.
