There's nothing bad about the end of Empires -- they're undemocratic, bloodthirsty monstrosities, whose end should be celebrated. Right now, the US Empire is dying because something else is taking its place -- a multipolar world run mostly by electoral democracies and developmental states. Pessimism of the anti-Imperial intellect, optimism of the multipolar will!
