As I understand the thrust of this thread, it is Gee whiz, would you
believe it, most americans are not going to be out on the street
tomoorrow d  emanding the overthrow of capitalism and that their
neighbhor hood be immediately desegregated and that medical care be free
starting yesterday. Aint it surprising. Let usall tear our hair and
wee;.

It will more or less _always_ be like this, until several million peole
come together in amass political movement outside the electoral system.
Socialism or even Social Democracy, under any name, will never win a
national election or achieve a majority in Congress. Never. So if you
want fundamental change, you have to stop being hysterical over the fact
that you are a permanent minority and give your thought to how that
miority can nevertheless change the world, as it has numerous times in
the past.
