--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow, those numbers are amazing. Now I am perplexed. I was just reading someone who had done research in Mexico and was claiming a process of deschooling happening where young people would pass on higher ed because they knew their earning power was greater if they just migrated to the US and did manual labour or service work. This contradicts her findings and analysis. This also must make us rethink our understanding of neoliberalism and the 'race to the bottom', if one believed such things.
