1. It's a great book.
2. The first two chapters are the hardest part. Once you get past those, it gets a lot easier.
3. I didn't really start to get it until I spent a year writing accounting procedures for a multi-national corp. Until I did that, which taught me how corporations represent and measure their work, I though Marx was making stuff up. After, I realized he wasn't making anything up; he really was describing reality.
4. He's one of the smartest and deepest philosophers I've ever read. He is one of the very few people who taught me how to think and analyze things (the others were Freud and Wittgenstein).
5. It will probably work out much better if you do it with someone else. When one gets tired or overwhelmed, the other can keep things going.
