Yeah, '2009' is a typo. Rundle's a freelance Marxist writer who has a
reasonably high profile here through sheer force of will, wit, and
quality of writing. I subscribe to Crikey mainly to read him; how
often do people like us get an op-ed writer we can identify with? That
piece is not really representative of his style - he writes quite a
few essays but mostly daily journalism and op-eds. He recently
published a book on the 2008 US election which he covered Fear and
Loathing style for Crikey - 'Down to the Crossroads'.
Overland's a venerable Australian left-wing literary journal.
