[lbo-talk] NYT: Party Gridlock in Washington Feeds Fear of a DebtCrisis

There is no fascist movement in the US, and no group with any clout at all with a fascist ideology in the US whatsoever. The likelihood of a fascist takeover in the US is on par with that of a takeover by Pharaonic Egypt -- unless I decide to redefine "fascist" as "right wingers," instead of what it actually means, "people who believe that all classes in a society should work together harmoniously under the aegis of the total State," which oddly enough is the definition the Fascists themselves used.

Give up the pseudo-Marxist "definition." It's bullshit.  Christopher E. Doss Moscow, Russian Federation

================================ Mussolini sounds wonderfully high-minded. Almost makes me want to buy a black shirt.

Who on this list has ever described the teabaggers as "fascist"? Names and cites, please.
