Of course not. But I am pretty sure they do give considerable thought to "dangerous currents." In fact, they probaly fear them more than I hope for them, since most intellectuals (liberal and consevative) share with some Marxists the illusion that bad times create such currents.
Leaping to "Socialist revolution" almost always muddies thought.
