[WS:] I share much of your jaded views on the DP, and certainly do not believe that they are "well intentioned sell-outs." I have no way of knowing of what people's intentions are, let alone express inner convictions of liberals or anyone else.

Where we depart is that I see it as a systemic fault of the entire US political system, the US voters including, not just the DP. I said that time and again on this forum, and I am surprised that you did not bother to notice that.

As to Obama - I like his personal style, that's it. I did not take his message of "hope" any more seriously than any line that an actor would utter playing his or her role. I do not think any real change is possible in this shithole in the current political lineup, an blaming any individual party for the failure to institute such a change, be it Obama or the DP, smells of the political delusions that you accuse me of.
