Lest we forget, remember all the shenanigans that went on back in 2000 when the Repubs stole the presidency.
I remember all the pillars of the Democratic establishment who started calling upon Al Gore to throw in the towel. And when Jesse Jackson threatened to organize street demos in Florida to protest the Republican shenanigans concerning the recount, all of a sudden the media was running with stories about Jessee's "love child." Needless to say those street demos never happened. And there was not a peep of protest from the DP establishment about the treatment of Jackson by the media. What more do we need to know about the DP?

You would think that. So when they repeatedly do things that violate the survival instinct, you have to wonder what structural thing is at work. My hypothesis is that service to capital will always trump the survival instinct.
