Max Sawicky:
> I think you succumbed to racist invective
What racist invective? We've already established that toolbox has no racial connotation at all, except in brad's fevered imagination. Homeboy is also not invective in any way. It's a synonym for "friend", "bud", "dude", "man", etc. Hence computer programming nerds with "Knuth is My Homeboy" t-shirts. Kids here in Berlin refer to each other as "homey" all the time. Are they racist too, despite the fact that the word for them merely has connotations associated with global U.S. pop culture? Nobody ever uses the word as invective.
> hip white professor who used the n-word in his class
I don't use the n-word, and comparing it with homeboy is idiotic. You're just flailing. The n-word truly is invective; it's an actual slur.
> I do have a history like you mentioned
I nailed it then. I can spot a 1970s M-L cultist from a mile away (amazingly, they have the same rhetorical style the whole world over). Do me a favor, don't come at me with that self-flagellation bullshit.
