Marx also told workers to inscribe 'Abolition of the wage system' on their banners, a call which would be dismissed as ultra-leftist and/or wildly utopian today and yet, the speech from which 'Value, Price and Profit' was transcribed, was give in 1865. Alas, the potential for class consciousness stagnates in pools of radical liberalism these days.

CB: Marx's discussion of his theory of labor as the source of all exchange-value is the basis for explaining exploitation under capitalism. Intuitively it seems that masses of workers' understanding exploitation is an important premise for their supporting abolishing the wage system.
