Sherrod herself wishes that Obama were behind her.

^^^^ CB: No doubt Rev. Jeremiah Wright did , too. Wright was substantially correct in his controversial sermons , too.

At any rate, evidently, Obama is behind Sherrod (see below). It was completely necessary for Obama to wait until the whole Fox News move was exposed as demogogy _so that most white Americans get it_ . The vast majority of white Americans have a very whitewashing consciousness of the facts on racism in America. Obama must dumb down to their level of consciousnes on racism, lest he be punished for being an "angry Black man" and , as Fox News and other rightwinger have been lying, "favoring Black people as President" .

This whole episode is a victory toward stopping Fox News and rightwingers from being able to racebait the Obama administration, as they were exposed to the nation in this latest example. And it would not have been possible to expose Fox News if the Obama administration had not reacted to the situation like the average white American would - blind to the fact that all the racism is in Fox News.

The Obama Administration _must_ act as if it is white on issues of racism. They played it perfectly so as to achieve the result of mass white sympathy for Sherrod as wronged by the racist Fox News. If Sherrod had not been wrongly fired, there wouldn't be the level of sympathy for Sherrod that , hopefully (smile) , exists now.

Shirley Sherrod Gets White House Apology http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20011238-503544.html

Stating that "a disservice was done," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs today apologized to former USDA employee Shirley Sherrod over her firing after a conservative news outlet posted an out-of-context video of comments she made two decades ago.

"I think without a doubt Sherrod is owed an apology," Gibbs told reporters. "I would do so certainly on behalf of this administration."

Sherrod, who watched the briefing, immediately responded on CNN that "it makes me feel better that the apology is finally happening."

"I accept their apology," she said.
