Looks like your inner 12-year-old typed the first line there!

But I'm not sure that the other powers are as devoted to Israel as the U.S. is, or that the U.S. devotion makes sense in imperial terms. We're a long way from the day when Israel served as Washington's front line defense against Commies and Arab nationalists. It might make far more sense to dial back on support for Israel and move to co-opt some of the more "moderate" Arab countries. Israel may be causing the U.S. more trouble than it's worth. Such a policy could even temper Iran - ally with their neoliberals, and Ahmadinejad might be marginalized over time.
