in the middle east is a 'peaceful' climate guaranteed by a trustworthy military force. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ya think? I always thought the goal was to destabilize the region and create chaos. Thereby, creating the need for 'our' dictator and the US' protection racket (weapons sales, military protection, and powerfull leaverage for key resource contracts) and diminishing the possibility of even some form of liberal democracy developing which would give the people some sort of say and could use the resources to help the people begin to move out of complete poverty. The added bonus is that this also creates some nice nationalist sentiment at home. I have never seen Isreal as creating a peaceful climate more the opposite.
