Pretty damned cool story. I liked the ending too, reflections on another
time. It reminds me a lot of my own reflections, not of course
remembering anybody in particular---just the mood from another time.
That's a hard thing to capture and even more difficult to accurately
communicate. If you can do that, even a little you've got my vote. 

So, yeah, where did all that creative anger go? 

The combo, of tell a story and sketch an act is very nice reading.
